Nominate a student for the Accelerated Scholars Program

What is the Accelerated Scholars Program?
Accelerated Scholars offers the highest achieving students the opportunity to earn a semester's worth of college credits by taking authentic Mercyhurst courses during their junior and senior years in high school.  Students participate in genuine online Mercyhurst courses designed by our faculty to promote rich, meaningful, and sustained interactions with instructors and peers in the ongoing search for knowledge.

Who Can Nominate a Potential Student?
Anyone, including potential students themselves, can nominate a candidate for invitation to participate in the Accelerated Scholars Program.  Your nomination will be used to invite the student to consider applying.

Who's Eligible for Admission to the Program?
We consider a variety of criteria when determining admissibility to the Accelerated Scholars Program, including the student's grade point average and co-curricular experiences.  Students can also be admitted on the basis of a strong recommendation from a guidance counselor or a high school teach who has had regular, sustained interaction with the student.  Only current high school juniors are eligible for admission to the program.  Students must be on-track for graduation in Spring 2024.
